Privacy Policy

Pet Avenue Veterinary Clinic ("Pet Avenue Clinic", "we", "us") is a veterinary clinic at AMSA 2, Al Barsha South Fourth, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai, UAE. We are responsible for the personal data that you give us on this website and in the My Pet Avenue client portal.

• Account data. Your name, mobile phone number and email address. You log in to the portal with a one-time code. We send the code by WhatsApp or by email. We do not use passwords for client accounts.
• Pet data. Your pets' names, species, breed, sex, date of birth and other details that you or our team add, and the medical records of the visits.
• Appointment data. The date, time, service, doctor and status of your appointments, and the notes that you add when you book.
• Messages and files. The questions, photos and files that you send to us for online advice, if you use this function.
• Technical data. A session cookie that keeps you logged in, and basic security logs (for example, the time of a login and a protected form of your IP address). We use these to keep your account safe.

• To give care to your pets and to keep their medical records.
• To book, change and cancel appointments, and to tell you about them.
• To give you access to your account and to keep it secure.
• To hold video appointments when you book one.
• To send you news and offers, but only if you agree. You can stop this at any time on your profile page.
• To obey the law, for example the rules for veterinary records and invoices.

We keep our clinic records in Digitail, our practice management system. The portal sends and receives your client, pet and appointment data to and from Digitail, so that the data in the portal and the data at the clinic are the same. For example, when you book an appointment in the portal, the appointment also goes into Digitail.

For a video appointment, we use Google Meet. The clinic's own Google account creates the meeting in the clinic's Google Calendar. The doctor is the only guest on the calendar event. The event does not contain your name, your pet's details or clinical notes. You join the meeting through the portal. We also keep the meeting link in Digitail with the appointment.

We use Google Calendar and Google Meet only to create and manage the meetings for the clinic's own appointments. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with other persons, except as necessary to hold the appointment.

Our use of information that we receive from Google APIs obeys the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use WhatsApp (a service of Meta) to send you login codes and updates about your appointments, and to reply to the messages that you send us. When you message us on WhatsApp, Meta processes that message under its own terms and privacy policy.

We share your data only with the service providers that help us run the clinic and the portal:

• Digitail – practice management system (clinic records).
• Google – Google Meet and Google Calendar for video appointments. Our public website also uses the Google tag to measure the results of our Google Ads (for example, a click on our phone number), and Google Analytics to count visits and actions on the site (for example, a finished online booking). These tools use cookies. We do not send your name, phone number, email or pet details to them.
• Meta (WhatsApp) – messages, login codes and appointment updates.
• Vercel – hosting of this website and the portal.
• Neon – the database of the portal.
• An email delivery service that sends login codes by email.

We do not sell your personal data. We can also give data to a government authority when the law tells us to. Some of these providers can process data outside the UAE.

We keep your data only as long as we need it for the purposes on this page, or as long as the law tells us to keep it (for example, medical and financial records). After this time, we delete the data or make it anonymous.

We process personal data in line with the UAE law on personal data protection (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and the other laws that apply to us. You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal data that we keep about you;
• correct data that is wrong or not complete;
• delete your data, when the law does not tell us to keep it;
• stop the use of your data for news and offers.

You can correct some data and change your choices on your profile page in the portal. For all other requests, contact us (see below). We can ask you to prove who you are before we do the request.
