Many adult pets have dental disease. It causes pain, bad breath and infection. We clean and treat teeth under anaesthesia, so the work is safe and complete.
What it includes
- Current offer: dental scaling – all-inclusive AED 999 incl. VAT (regular AED 1,549), for cats and dogs up to 10 kg. It includes the pre-anaesthetic blood tests, intubation, gas anaesthesia, monitoring, dental scaling and the dental set.
- Scaling and polishing under inhalation anaesthesia, with monitoring.
- Dental X-rays to see the roots below the gum line.
- Removal of broken, loose or painful teeth.
- Advice on home care to keep the teeth clean.
When to book
- Your pet has bad breath, red gums or brown tartar on the teeth.
- Your pet chews on one side, drops food or does not want to eat.
- The vet found dental disease at a check-up.
What to expect
- First, a consultation: the vet checks the mouth and your pet's health for anaesthesia.
- Your pet must not eat for some hours before the procedure. We tell you the time.
- Most pets go home on the same day.
- The final cost depends on the weight of your pet and the teeth that need treatment. We tell you the estimate first.

Questions
Why does my pet need anaesthesia for a cleaning?
A pet does not stay still for scaling below the gum line. Anaesthesia lets the vet clean every tooth safely and take X-rays.
How often does my pet need a dental cleaning?
It depends on the pet. Many pets need one every one to two years. The vet tells you at the check-up.
