Older pets change fast. Regular check-ups and blood tests help us find problems early, when treatment is easier. We use our normal consultation and lab tests: there is no special senior package.
What it includes
- A full check-up with weight, heart, joints, teeth and eyes.
- Blood and urine tests to check the kidneys, liver and thyroid.
- Pain control and a care plan for stiff joints.
- Advice on food and exercise for an older pet.
When to book
- Your cat or dog is 7 years or older.
- Your pet drinks more, eats less, loses weight or sleeps more.
- Your pet is stiff, slow on stairs or confused.
What to expect
- The vet may suggest a check-up every 6 months.
- Blood test results usually come back on the same day or the next day.
- The vet tells you the cost of tests before we do them.
