Diagnostics & lab tests
Tests help the vet find the cause of a problem fast. We do blood tests, X-ray and ultrasound in the clinic. Some special tests go to a partner laboratory.
What it includes
- Blood tests: blood count, biochemistry panels, thyroid and kidney tests.
- Urine and stool tests, and parasite checks.
- X-ray, abdominal ultrasound and cardiac ultrasound.
- PCR tests, cultures, cytology and biopsy through a partner laboratory.
When to book
- The vet asks for a test at a consultation.
- Your pet needs blood tests before anaesthesia.
- Your senior pet needs a yearly health check.
What to expect
- Most tests need a consultation first, so the vet chooses the right test.
- Some blood tests need your pet to not eat for some hours. We tell you.
- The vet explains the results and the next steps.

Can I book only a test, with no consultation?
Usually the vet sees your pet first. If our vet asked for the test, send us a message on WhatsApp and we book it.
How fast do I get results?
Many in-clinic results are ready on the same day. Partner laboratory tests take longer. The vet tells you when to expect them.
