Australia pet import requirements from the UAE
The rules for a pet dog or cat that travels from the UAE to Australia, in plain words. When the official rules are not clear, we say so: our vet confirms that point at your first visit.

An ISO microchip. Chips that start with 999 are not accepted. The vet scans it at every visit.

Other vaccines, tests and treatmentsYes
An optional identity check by a government vet before the blood sample (not at the same visit). It cuts quarantine from at least 30 days to at least 10 days. The permit gives more tests and treatments for dogs.
The full list of dog tests and treatments in the permit (for example Ehrlichia, Leishmania, Brucella canis, Babesia and parasites) and their timing: our vet confirms this at your first visit.

- The 180 days are counted from the sample date. They start when the laboratory receives the sample.
- No identity check before the blood sample, so the quarantine is at least 30 days.
